Graduate StudiesAbout the Graduate ProgramThe Graduate School provides a fairly comprehensive information and requirements site regarding general information, fellowships, requirements, etc., as well as the Graduate Catalog. It is strongly recommended that prospective students contact individual faculty members by email when applying. The ability to match a student with a faculty member (or members) is an important part of the selection process for admission to the Graduate Program. For an estimate of tution costs, please refer to the fee calculator, this can estimate the fee and tuition costs. Please keep in mind that even with support the student is responsible for paying the fee portion, these are not covered by a tuition waiver. Alumni and Grinter Fellowships, Teaching and Research Assistantships (TA and RA) are available to cover living expenses. Students who are awarded a fellowship, TA or RA also obtain a tuition waiver. U.S. students must establish residency in the State of Florida by their second year in order for the tuition waiver to continue. This means starting as soon as your arrive. For more information please review the Department of Botany Graduate Student Handbook .
